Inside Jinyi's Quality Lab: How We Test Every Suitcase Before Shipment

Jinyi Luggage quality testing lab

Quality is not an accident at Jinyi Luggage. Before any order leaves our factory, samples from every production batch pass through a dedicated testing lab equipped with professional machines. These tests simulate the real stresses luggage faces during travel, transit, and daily use.

Trolley Shake Testing

The telescopic handle is one of the most frequently used parts of a suitcase. Our trolley shake machine extends and retracts the handle thousands of times under load, checking for wobbling, locking failure, or material fatigue. Only handles that remain smooth and stable after the full cycle are approved.

Wheels Walking Testing

Wheels take a beating on airport tiles, cobblestones, and rough pavement. Our wheels walking tester rolls loaded suitcases over a standardized track for a set distance, measuring wear, noise, and rotation smoothness. We also check that 360-degree spinners maintain alignment after extended use.

Handle Shake Testing

Top and side handles must support the full weight of a packed case without tearing or deforming. The handle shake test suspends a loaded suitcase and oscillates it repeatedly, verifying that handle bases, rivets, and reinforcement plates hold securely.

Drop Testing

To simulate baggage-handler impacts, we drop suitcases from standardized heights onto hard surfaces at multiple angles. The test checks shell integrity, corner protection, wheel attachment, and hinge performance. A successful drop test means the case can survive the journey from check-in to carousel.

What the Tests Mean for Buyers

These four standard tests are the foundation of our QC process, but we also perform additional checks for zipper life, lock function, color consistency, and load capacity based on client requirements. Every test is documented, and clients can request photos, videos, or third-party inspection reports.

At Jinyi, durability is built in from material selection to final inspection. If you would like to see our testing process in action, contact us for a factory video or on-site visit.
